It may take more than a beer for resurrecting that.
I wasn't going to be the one

I'm contemplating my next project, and i came up with a question;
If I'm using 2 vehicles for parts, how many parts from a smog-exempt vehicle do I need to apply to a 1980s vehicle to be able to transfer title/VIN to that vehicle, effectively making it pre smog?
I read something about that somewhere once

If the vehicle that you are going to use has a VIN that is smog exempt you can put what ever you want in it.
1980 is not smog exempt in California

What matters is the VIN of the <1975 smog-exempt vehicle, that's the one you have to register. You cannot make a smog required post-1975 vehicle smog exempt unless you go diesel (pre-1998), electric or natural gas

There is no more fun vehicle to operate on the planet that is civilian, but you have to pay.
When I took lessons it was only $85/hr with the instructor. Now, just the instructor is almost that much.
Jet Ranger time is about $850/hr plus instructor, R-22 is about $250/hr plus instructor.
But seriously, if you want to pursue it as a career, look into grants and loans at a local heli-flight school.

I rented this car last weekend up in Sacramento.
Anybody have one of these?
I really like the car. It handles well, is very comfortable, and the six banger got really good mileage.

Teaser pics of Richie's Jeep so far....
Still need to finish the exhaust, put the 4 inch lift on it, 33's, and the round recessed tail lights, but it's getting close!
The 4.0 head swap made it run great. I may do the same thing.
You should have seen this Jeep when we first started. Spice interior, tan beat up exterior, but it ran well. The project started with a cracked exhaust manifold, and went crazy from there.....

POS, it has a D35 and no ground clearance, it would high-center 10 feet in to trail.
I wonder if it would fit through The Squeeze??
And it's the only car that looks good with 22's
