that sucks. I'll have to do that too eventually. Interested in your experience with it.

Look at the bright side, the circus tent usually means its time for a weekend camping/wheeling trip.

Did you look into the orange oil treatment? You don't have to tent or even leave your house. Not sure how pricey it is tho'.
Ah... the pleasures of home ownership.

We are thinking about that as an option. We haven't settled on any kind of date yet.

I did read up about the orange oil. Apparently it is only good on colonies you can see. If there is a group hidden somewhere you'd never get them. On top of that the stuff physically has to touch them. You have to drill into the wood you wanna treat and inject the stuff.
I've also checked out heat and microwave but nothing seems as fool proof as the good old tent with a ton of gas. Of course, I could just burn the place down....

I'm thinking that's the best option. Have you set a date yet? Need any help? I'll bring all the cameras
Let me know if there's a time frame and if you need a hotel room, I'll see what rates are available, busy season is coming up so rates are getting higher as availability goes down. Have the RV you can use too, park in the yard next to the tent.

I think my house may have been tented before I bought it. All I know for sure is that I had roaches and after getting rid of those I did not see an ant, moth or spider in the house for about 10 years.

If I go with the fire route I'll be sure to give you a call.
The RV route isn't a bad option either. It might be fun to camp right next to the tent. Maybe we'll get a contact high?

Ours was tented in 1991. There is a form stapled in the garage with all the info on it. I had to put up the inspection notice from the first one I had as well. Some regulation from our friends at the EPA.

Staying in the motorhome next to it will help if any gas masked burglars decide to hit the place. Don't laugh, they do it all the time.
Does the gas only kill termites, or does it take care of those pesky sub-terrainian ants too?

Are you serious?! I hate people sometimes. It takes a special kind of person to break into a house knowing it has toxic fumes in it.
The gas only takes care of drywood termites. It will kill subterranian termites that are above ground eating the wood but not the ones below. It might nuke some ants in the house but I don't think it will do anything below.
