Annual classic car (mostly) auto swap meet at the Qualcomm, last weekend of February. Cars, parts, and all kinds of miscellanea.
I'll be there with a few guys from my car club. I'm only selling parts, mostly jeep, and some antiquey stuff. My buds are selling some antique cars.
parking costs $7 or so, but its free to walk in.
hours are like 9am - 5pm friday, sat, and sun, but don't quote me on that - doublecheck

If you had a Jeep like the one that Big fat loser Eric who sold his jeep and crushed the dreams of thousands sold you could easily imagine selling your Jeep
It was the Jeep version of Justifiable Homicide
First we'll talk you out of a 4" lift and then:
Let the spending begin

Damnit Steve ya beat me to it!! I was gonna say that. Hopefully next time big fat loser Eric who sold his jeep and crushed the dreams of thousands decides to get another Jeep he gets one that isn't a complete pile of crap. Though I think that $9k craigslist one may actually be his last Jeep

Wheel the snot out of it stock before getting any kind of lift.
With all the new folks checking in it almost seems reasonable to put together another Fiesta Island Meet and Greet.

I say lift it first. Wheeling stock sucks because you get stuck a lot and get to watch all the bad *** lifted jeeps drive over your obstacle like its not there.
I'm down for a fiesta island bbq/ bonfire. I have a bunch of wood too. Friday or Sat nights are best for me.

Fiesta island meet and greet sounds good to me. I usually take my Jeep out to Anza-Borrego, so far I haven't done anything too challenging, but I still have a blast!

Might be doing an SYE install this weekend, weather permitting, and some fender trimming.

Did we schedule my SYE install THIS weekend? I must have been too drunk and don't remember. What time are we getting started?
We made some headway on Richie's Jeep today.
We solved the alternator problem, got a new serpentine belt on, hooked up more of the wire harness, starter in and hooked up, fenders and grill painted and ready for install.
Still need a heater hose, fuel pump, and a few other minor thngs before we fire it up. Getting close.
All I did to mine was fix the door strap that Betsy broke. Looks like new now.
We are talking about at bone yard run on Saturday to see if we can find my seats and some other misc. stuff we don't need.
Only if it rains tho', so it's nice and miserable.

I got 'em!!
Five barely used Rubicon wheels from a 2005 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.
I have a friend/neighbor that owns a powder coating company. I'm having them coated matte black.
* 16x8 cast aluminum
* 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern
* Backspacing = 5"
* Offset = +12 mm
* Stock Rubicon wheel

Nothing that $$$$$$$$$$ won't fix
When buying a 4" lift plan on buying the lift, go quality first so you won't have to spend even more later. Then, in the just in case department plan on an SYE, driveshaft, control arms, track bars....
just plan on spending money
Consider something like an OME 2.5" lift and a JKS 1.25" body lift (no transfer case drop), maybe a 1" MML, a lot cheaper, lower COG, much better ride, just as capable as 4"s, will clear 33's with the right bump stops and still get "the look", no need for SYE/driveshaft and on and on

Or rob a bank and get it all!
It all depends on what kind of off roading you do.
If you wheel with all the old ladies in the San Diego thread, you can keep your Jeep stock and put a bowl of goldfish on the front seat.

Kidding.
These guys know of what they speak. But be careful. They will spend all your money for you and still make you buy the beer.

(and I agree with the 2.5 with 33's)
