Do you guys know if it will cost more to insure a 89 jeep? I heard that if they cant find it on KBB (KBB stops at 1990) then its harder to insure and possibly more expensive.

i doubt it. older vehicles are usually cheaper to insure.

Find out who did the engine work. There is a lot more involved in stroking an engine than most garage mechanics know about. See if he did it or a company, warranty, etc.

Anyone know of a good/cheap place to get doors painted. i just picked up a set of half doors and would like to get them painted to match my jeep's color.

If it costs more than 150, i will probably just rattle can them black.

I'd probably just go ahead and rattle can them. Even old Earl is gonna cost more than $150.

All the EFI motors I've owned idle at 600 rpm

When I put my kit on it started idling high after a day or two; turned out to be a bad MAP sensor. I called and Howell sent me a new one.

Hook it up to an OBD-1 scanner and check for codes. I have one if you want to stop by some time. I'm in Clairemont.
