Thanks Chris.
My Jeep runs so much better now.
A noticeable difference getting on the freeway, maintaining freeway speeds, rapid acceleration without hesitation, smooth idle at 450 rpm's, and quick throttle response.
It now acts and starts like it has fuel injection.
Why didn't I do the nutter bypass long ago?

Had a good day today. Free mud, all you could haul away in your shoes.

I grabbed the family style roll bar from one of the YJs and we found the coveted 1999 4.0 intake manifold alone with some type of header from the same XJ. Also got a gree fender for Jason.

There are two 1994 yjs at brown field ecology, both are pretty stripped but the 4cyl still has its 4.10 axles Tons of cherokee, as usual and a lot of grands. We also got 5 or 6 S-10 lighted mirrors.

There was an older pontiac of some kind that had an after market under dash air conditioner. I started taking it out but ended up leaving it there. No real home for it.

Get this, at the domestic yard was a 1999 TJ, 4 cyl. Not much left of that but got a few odds and ends.
4 cyl YJ

6 cyl

pontiac A/C

you mention looking for a 4.10 explorer. Do you have 4.10 in the front now? If not, I have an XJ HPD30 with 4.10 gears sitting in my yard and would love to get rid of it, cheap.

One of the two of them had the seat belt buckle part. Both sides. Not any of the straps tho'.

So you got the family bar eh Jeff? How much did they charge you for it?
If I would have had the tools to get it I would have.

The 4 banger tub is really straight, but pretty stripped. It's a '95.
The 6 banger tub is a '94, still has the windshield frame and front grill. The right front fender is a little bit messed up, but the body is straight.

We forgot to go back over to the Cadillacs to get an alternator. Doh!

I got a tailgate off one of them Yj's and didn't even get my shoes dirty. Imagine that?

You can bring a small bag but you don't get too many freebees. Most of it ends up in the trash quickly

I like Pick Your Part a bit better than Ecology anyway. Especially as it seems Ecology isn't putting vehicles where they are supposed to. those YJs should have been with the rest of the trucks and SUVs!!
Sucks when that happens but most of the times you get your stuff back.

I was really surprised to see so many YJs and a TJ at ecology. Hope to see more in the future.

These won't be there long before going to the crusher. Not many parts left on them to sell.
