So I guess it worked out alright. A couple of my guys were whining about it so I gave them the option of the trencher or a shovel and then the trencher was fine. Glad it worked out for you. Did you get the pipe in and backfilled? I was worried the trencher might not be quite wide enough for the pipe. You know 6" trencher with 6" pipe...

No, the pipe hasn't been delivered yet. I tried a piece of the six inch pipe in the trench. It's tight! But it's just a drain, so if I have to force it in it's OK.
The fittings will be the fun part. No big tho'. Sure beats the shovel and rock bar method for sure.
I can use my tractor to backfill after the pipe goes in. I don't think the pipe will be here until Monday or Tuesday.
Need any trenching done at your house? That thing cuts fast!

So call me crazy, but riddle me this.
Every other Wrangler I see has the same 30x9.50 Goodyear Wrangler GS-A spare that I have, and different tires on the axles.
Of course Goodyear has discontinued that tire so you can't really get any use out of the damn thing.
Does anyone know of a good way to round up all these spares into sets?
Just wondering....

Why would you want them? Are you restoring a Jeep back to original?

I don't, but I see plenty of Jeeps still rolling around relatively stock.
I just hate to have a perfectly good tire go to waste.

So I'm thinking there isn't any part of your Jeep that you can't sell for some kind of money on Craigslist.
They said you couldn't sell stock YJ flares, sold 'em.
And today, I sold my old sport bar.
I think I'm going to list my trac bars for sale just to see if I can sell them. That will prove to me that every part of a Wrangler is valuable.
Anybody wanna' buy my old Torx bolts?

Funny you should mention selling stuff, I'm going to have a bunch to unload, maybe I can get enough to pay for that Dana 60
A surprisingly productive day, installed a 1" Teraflex body lift, a 1" Brown Dog MML and removed the t-case drop. Will need to do a shock relocation on the rear but it all lines up pretty well.
After swapping the original 4" inch spring lift for a Teraflex 3" spring lift and all adjustable control arms I'm just about right where I was in height but with a LCG and a slightly longer wheelbase.
Next is the rebuilding the Super 30, filling up the D44 and then, The Big Axle Swap Weekend
And then ply Joe with while we talk about a D30 truss and track bar bracket (in six weeks )

So I got the electrical conduit in the trench, ran the wiring, installed the breaker, hooked up the pond/gazebo circuit inside the Meyers box, backfilled the ditches, threw the breaker, and man you should have seen the sparks. The fire diepartment finally got the flames out about an hour ago. Kidding. Everything worked perfect the first time I threw the switch.
Still waiting on that six inch pipe. Hope it gets here tomorrow so I can get that project off my list too.
RV pad is pretty level, finishing the sprinkler lines and planters this week, DG coming on Thursday. Still need to lower the sewer hookup. Procrastinating on that one for sure.
So that was my weekend, minus a birthday party for my son and grandson.
Hope everybody got something productive done too.

Well this weekend I got some work on the Jeep done, goofed off some and now I'm at work until midnight. Already did the monthly Preventive Maintenance tonight on the chilled water system and the kitchen exhaust scrubbers. Getting ready to do PM's on the building's domestic water pump system (four pumps and motors), then a flatwork ironer/folder and set the ironer up for the overnight guy to start cleaning the wax off the ironer rollers and exhaust hood. A very messy, nasty, disgusting, filthy job, which is why the rookie kid does that part, not me
And then home at midnight and back to work at 7am, and this is what I do to pay for Jeep parts, what fun

Oh, in case somebody needs it before I return, there's an XJ rear shaft in excellent condition in my garage. Nate left it there for safe keeping & for whenever the next drive shaft needs to be cut down. But if somebody needs it before I return, let me know & we can work something out.
Don't get me wrong - I'll be happy to make another, but it'll have to wait till late December (I return to San Diego on the 19th).
