I am installing a 2.5" superlift on my CJ7 this weekend and could you an extra hand or two. Any takers? I will be doing it on SD Naval Base 32nd street and they are providing the vehicle lift and air tools for the job, so hopefully it wont be to much of a hassle.

I will even buy lunch!!

Thanks in advance

I wish I hadn't seen it

First thing I did was check to see how much I have in my savings account

Now the dilemma is, buy the fenders and put off buying the Currie control arms or keep saving...

Seems like the control arms are more pressing.

When are we working on your junk?

I'm starting to put mine back together tonight.

I would love to help but I have two more weekends of putting my POS back together first.

Anyone else free to jump in there?

Yeah really, my savings are meager. I wonder how much the blood banks giving for blood plasma these days, maybe that'd get me those Genright tube fenders.

Not sure if I can free up some time, but make sure you spray the bolts a couple days prior to the work. It will make things much easier.

What day are you planning on doing the install???

agreed, PB blast everything you plan on removing every day starting about a week ahead of time, especially on an older Jeep like that.

Now I have to find out how much shipping is, or is it worth driving up the LA.

I started PB'ing all the bolts yesterday in preparation for the install. I was either going to do Saturday or Sunday morning starting at 8. To be completely honest it is depending on the help (if there is any), I will do it no later than Sunday.

Do you even have that much blood left in ya?

They have two sets of 6" flares left, no sale price after those are gone. Shipping is almost $100 a set to San Diego, it's 148 miles one-way to their shop. If there were more than a couple of people getting sets it might be worth driving up and back and splitting the fuel cost but the shipping is breaking the deal for me. Still a good price, but not so great that I want to jump on it

I'm thinking I may wait, maybe check around the Jeep Swap Meet in Ramona on the 3rd, see if there's any vendors making deals at ODF, maybe drive up to the Off-Road Expo next month. I've waited this long...

We can make you a set of fenders. They'll be ready in 6 months.

That's your best idea.
I've gotten some smokin' deals at the show in October. The vendors are there to make deals to pay for the space rental.

Tell me more about this Expo you speak of. When is it? What vendors are there? All the major ones? I am wondering if I should wait on the lift and tires and see what kind of offers are available then. Do they bring equipment or does it still need to be shipped? I need answers!!!

Also, your MiFi is here. Arrived about 10 mins ago.
