That looks like a pretty good trail, it'd be great if you would post when you guys do that one again.

Getting closer to a worry free axle. I got the 8.8 stripped of bracketry and the LCA/spring buckets ready to weld on. Waiting for the UCA/track arm from Rusty's. It will be nice not worring about breaking a D35 on the trail.

Nope, they are not welded on yet. Just on there for fitment.

I tell ya Painted Gorge has a lot of all kinds of stuff in it. Unlike the Truckhaven this area has piles of rocks. Most of the weekend warriors are ATV or dune buggies. Theres another area of boulders no one goes into it and the trails go all around it. We spent the whole night playing in them. There not long trails or patches but you certailnly can entertain yourself in them. Easy good place to build those krawl skills

I live out here and never paid much attention to that area, it is pretty cool.
Supposed to be a new boulder dash canyon out at Superstion may go check it out with the samefolks.

It is really crowded out in these areas the dust, shoot from El centro you cant see the mountains toward San Diego. No wind that stuff just hangs.

For all of you that want to see the areas George Kropp and I played around in heres points from Google Earth. With TDS coming up we wont be going back in to the canyon untill after that event. We prob will go down from the top, the Rumerosa area if possible.

I really need to get my jeep off-road. I want to take it wheeling soon if anyone is planning on going anywhere.

I'm done with Truckhaven. I've done that run 4-5 times and it's nothing but hard sandstone or whatever they call it... ridge running at best. Rocks is where it's at. I'll try to make it the next time you guys go out to Painted Gorge. Looks like a fun area to screw around in without much chance of breaking anything.

Any given day in rocks something can break! This weekend you could see the dust clouds of Painted Gorge , Plaster city ( I thinks theres a race today), Ocotillo Wells and Truckhaven its so thick you can cut it with a knife. I actually dont like that kind of wheeling.

Getting back to Painted Gorge theres some trails which go up to the top of Coyote Mountain. Its a great view of the desert. Jan 1 to June1 that trail closes for the big horn. Its really a cool ride I recommend it.

I'll keep you posted for runs that pop up.
