Warm? Only at the surface for the first 10 to 15 feet.
Down about 30 to 50 feet you've passed through at least two thermoclines, so it's cold down there. Prolonged exposure to that temp will mess you up.
Diving in the tropics is way different tho'. And the visibility is much better.

It's cheap to rent tanks. I have my own regulators that I need to have refurbished before I dive again. My kids used them in the pool for fun, and they still work OK, but I don't want a failure at 120 feet. Sucks to get bent.
Somebody stole my SpareAir. (see pic) That thing was cool. Great backup that I'm glad I never had to use.

You can rent a complete setup from a dive shop for a day pretty cheap too. I just like using my own regulators and mask.

Soon you will have a dive flag sticker on your Jeep I bet.

Whoa! A thousand bux! Buy it! I have the same camcorder and I'll just borrow your's!

Just my thioughts, if you are doing underwater video, use a cheaper camera.
Housings get swamped easily for a multitude of reasons.
Check craigslist too. A lot of people are dumping their stuff for the money.

I started a thread in the General Discussion area for Scuba. Check it out.

Also, the protocol is never be out of reach of your dive buddy. You can share a reg easily.
Problem is, it's not that easy to get the dive buddy's attention under the water, especially in a wreck or cave.

tix are cheap, if they are not sold out. You would have to call or go there to try getting some in the same section. Or, just come to the parking lot and get some there. There will certainly be some floating around.

I spoke to Steve yesterday and gave him our sec/row/seat info. He is going to head down to the ticket office at the Q to try and get some near us.

So last weekend we installed Nate's SYE. This weekend we are going to drop in the 8.8 and hopefully fab a driveshaft with some help from Joe if he is available. That can be done another day though.

The plan is to start on sunday morning, maybe about 11 so anyone that's free and wants to help or make comments come on by.

Thinking to maybe get the jeep in place and jacked up on stands ready to go saturday so we don't lose any time sunday.

More to follow.

dude head to Target. I got a Fuji 10 megapixel underwater digital camera on sale for $150 to take on the honeymoon. Its waterproof to 10 feet so great for snorkeling and free diving but probably wouldn't cut it for Scuba. takes fantastic pictures though. I'll post some up from the cove a 2 weeks ago in a little bit

ok heres some shots I got with the Fuji in La Jolla cove. I was mostly just playing around trying to get used to it, the photography improved the more I used it and I think with clearer water they would be outstanding
