on a brighter note...went out snorkeling at the cove again today and chased around a LOT of flippin leopard sharks! i'm officially hooked on underwater ocean sports! must look into scooba now! oh, i sawwhat looked like a clam about a 1/4 mile or so out, but it was REALLY damn big. maybe 8" across. clam? it was an off white colour...

It's SCUBA not like Scooby Doo...
It probably was a clam, but remember, water magnifies by 1/3, so it was probably only 5.333332 inches in diameter.
Scuba is easy to get hooked on, no doubt. But it's worth every penny.

So Richie came over yesterday. We worked on the front fenders of his Jeep, that were so generously donated by JBolty Jeff.
We removed the flares, ground the sharp edges, welded the edges of the fenders where they were cut for the flares, welded the two cuts where Jeff's tires hit and tore them, (yes, my welder DOES work. Who knew?)
We then ground down the welds smooth, sanded the fenders, and primer them. They are gunna' look nice when they are done. Thanks again Jeff.
Next he's gunna' pull the old crunched up fenders off, sand and primer the grill (had a chrome overlay if anyone is into bling), take the exhaust manifold off and install the header, and re-assemble the front end.
He'd better hurry. The season starts next month. Lot's to do.
I finished my hitch receiver flag pole and flag yesterday. I was too lazy to do anything else after helping Rich.
I think he's doing orange with black for the colors. Can you say pumpkin?

Yep, you're hooked.
Whatever you do, do NOT go to the airport and take a test flight in a helicopter. It's even worse, 1,000 times worse. And 1,000 times more expensive. (but also 1,000 times more fun).

One sport at a time. You will love scuba, especially wreck diving and dive boat vacations.

on another note....
I was checking into the JF membership thingy...

So for $200, you can get a JF Lifetime Premium Membership Upgrade, that's good for 25 years.
So does that mean they come to your house in 25 years and kill you?
Or does it mean that JF only plans on existing for another 25 years?
I thought "lifetime" meant forever until you or the forum has no more life.
So shouldn't it be called the JF Quarter Century Premium Membership Upgrade?

Just askin'...

And why would you buy a 25 year membership? What if you piss off the admins and they ban you? Do they pro-rate the remainder of your 25 years and refund your money? What if you sell your Jeep? Does the "lifetime membership" transfer to the new owner of your Jeep?
Just make's more sense to buy the $29 one and hope you aren't on this forum wasting time after seven years when it reaches $203.

Am I overthinking this? I think not.

Today I went to Horton Plaza (I know...), and man, I was so close to the roof I though my head was going to get knocked off. I only have a 2.5" lift.

But, I can't wait to take my Jeep to Fashion Valley at Christmas time. Last Christmas before I got my Jeep I was jealous of this one Cherokee that was parked in the "Forest" area behind the mall, past the dirt area. No more driving around for an hour to find a spot.

My girlfriend tells me to "stop showing off". But, I got the Jeep to drive where cars can't.

Yup! That was me. I'll be out at Skyshow this Saturday with it to. If you are out there you should stop by. We'll be tailgating pretty early and probably will go into the game after the second half. A couple of JF folks will be there with me.

Don't make me dust off my scuba gear! My wetsuit has shrunk, and the water is too cold here to go without.
Maybe I need to shrink myself. I was talking with Richie about scuba yesterday, and he misses it too.
I have two setups but my tanks are out of hydro. They are the old steel ones anyway.
