Stop in on this SD thread and let us know how it's going, and how you like Oregon.
I used to love going to my grandfather's house there. He lived on a river in a regular house built on logs. We'd ski right off the front porch.
Kinda' gloomy there half the time, but really beautiful. Lots of pot heads for sure.

Good luck.

Does anyone have a pair of stock YJ turn signals? The ones on the fenders.

I was thinking they might be just the thing for after I complete my tube fenders and of course I tossed out my old YJ flares about 2 months ago, after they were sitting in the yard for a year.

If you meant the side marker yellow chingaderos that mount on the flare/fender in the front, yes I do. You can have them for nuttin'.
Remind me when you come by.

That's the ones. Thinking I might cut them into the side of the hood.

Does anyone have a spring compressor tool? I am gonna be pulling the coils on Monday. If I could borrow it that would be great!

Thanks!

They're free to rent too, just put a deposit on your credit card but that is returned to you when you bring it back in good condition.

Spring compressor, ha Coil Spring Rookie

After you get it safely up on jackstands and have the tires off, remove the shocks, disconnect the sway bar(s) and the track bar(s) and the axle will drop right down. Give a little tug and out come the springs.

Couple of tricks:

Keep your fingers out from under the springs, that's important.

Turn the spring like a screw and walk it in/out

A long pry bar like the one I carry in the Jeep is quite handy. A long crow/wrecking bar with a flat end is a good substitute.

As is a large, heavy person to stand on one end of the axle to help push it down.

Fairly simple job

No

If you do use a compressor be extra cautious, those things can be deadlier than undercooked hamburgers
