I'll be there! Got that bushing fixed and my swaybar connected up again today...with an extra washer or two on there now to make sure it won't happen again... They put my Jeep up on the ramp to test things out a bit and I was pretty impressed - got to the top with the back tires flat on the ground...they backed up on it as well...I've always wanted to do that just to see...

Pics of the XJ, ZJ and WJ graveyards to come.

Under the program the engine is seized with sodium silicate. The vehicle is then sent to a recycler where they are indeed parted out. After six months the vehicle must be shredded.

This weekend is half-price at Pick-Your-Part in Chula Vista. A group of us are heading down there bright and early in the morning to check out the pickings

I'll be there.
Not at I-8 & 79 though.
Gonna pick up my grandson and Step-son in Crest and go through Alpine.
I'll call or try CB on CH 14. See you at the trail.

Made the junkyard run, slim pickings for us, but, if you're in the market for Cherokee parts there's a ton of Grands and XJ's. Same for pick ups, lots of late model trucks. Ecology has a load of "clunkers." They mark them with a big orange X on the roof and motor.

Back at Jeff's working on the flatties and Jeff is getting ready to cut a couple of fingers off with the new chop saw.

We went halfies on a Dewalt, bring your metal, let's chop

The backs are done, but the sheet metal is still only tack welded. Prob finish up this week.

Still a fair amount to do but all the hard stuff is finished. Have to re-mount the stuff that was bolted to the fenders and add some front braces. Then, sheet metal for the fronts.

Crankshaft Position Sensor. It tells the computer the position of the crank shaft which in turn tells the computer to set the timing. No CPS = no timing = no start.

The hard part was matching the second side to the first.

anyone think the junkyard would trade me a driverside mirror in excellent condition for a passanger side mirror? my friend said he had a passanger side mirror for me, so i gave away my cracked one but it ended up being a driver side mirror he had, doh.
