I have a chop saw, but I live a bit far away.
Do you have everything you need for the swap?
What gears are in the 8.8? What gears are in the D-30?
U-bolts? Shock mounts? Brake line adapters? E-brake adapter? Spring mounts?
Welder for the spring mounts? Can you chop a d-shaft and weld it without balancing it? When you are done with your's, can you do mine? Do I ask too many questions?

4.10 rear. we have a 4.10 d30 as well but it's from an xj so we have to fab spring mounts. That will take another day but does not have to be done right away. 2wd will be fine for a little while.

I think the 8.8 needs brake parts but as far as I know we have everything else.

driveline shop wants $120 to shorten a drive shaft. We can do it and have them balance if needed, or just start over. They only cost $15 at the jy.

Run Tomorrow

I'm running Carveacre Road/Pancake Rock tomorrow. I realize that is way too easy for most of you guys, but you're all invited anyway. Meet at the park&ride @ I-8 and Hwy 79. 8 AM, leave for the trail at 8:15, run the trail and be at 4WP by 11. CB channel 14, cell 619-200-6034

Happy Trails,
Moose

Might buy a chop saw this weekend, or I can borrow one from work. Need one anyway to get working on bumpers and other fun stuff. Depends on what treasures I find at the JY

Why do they call them bumpers? Shouldn't they be called smash into rocksers?

You are always MORE than welcome to borrow/use mine.

Or anything else I may have for that matter.

Might see you out there. I recently replaced front springs and that's a short fun run to try them out.

MooJr, Glad to hear you got it running. What's a CPS?

I lost a rear U-joint twice. I just put a rag over the end of the TC and duct tape the sh*t out of it.
