Anyone out there have a lead on some sort of discount on rental cars? Gonna be up in NorCal in Feb and am looking to rent an SUV out of Sacramento International. We'll be driving to Lake Tahoe for the weekend.
I used AAA when I went to Mass this year and got a midsize for somewhere right around 200 bucks for 10 days. They saved me well over a hundred bucks by booking with them and I searched everywhere. Good luck.
Lately I have had good luck by going to the expedia or travelocity to see who is cheapest, then going directly to that company for a better deal. The big cost now is all the add ons that the local cites have.
i just rented a car for a week for 53 bucks...seriously, only 7 bucks a day! www.bookingbuddy.com
also, enterprise will give you a discount if you tell them you're with geico
