Pinyon mountain anyone?

Trail starts here:

33.056966,-116.4203601

Pop that into google maps and it should match the attached pic.

Well known obstacles include "Heart attack hill" and "The Squeeze" and a couple others.

Trail goes off to the east from the trailhead.

Heres someone rolling a jeep doing heart attack hill VERY wrong.

And heres a stock suzuki crossover doing both heart attack hill and the squeeze.

Looking to go sometime in the next couple weeks, any day, but weekends probably make the most sense to get a group together.

Pinyon Mtn is a good starter trail and a nice ride through a part of the desert with a wide array of terrain. Close by is Blaire Valley which has a hike to see some indian pictographs and a climb up a mountain to see the remains of the Marshal South home site.

Unfortunately the trail it self is a shadow of its former self. Most of the obstacles at the far end have been bulldozed in order to make the area accessible to more people. Still, not a bad trip for the day.

San Diego 4 Wheelers are doing that trail Sat 4/11. They welcome guest to join them if you're interested.
