palomar mountain divide

My jeep is down. But a buddy wants to head out. He has a 2wd PreRunner.
Would we be able to get through this. I would imagine its pretty easy. Hes litterally never taken his truck offroad. so i have a feeling i might be doing some driving if this place isnt easy to drive. If a civic cant do it i doubt he'll want to but im trying to talk him into something semi fun at least.

You could drive an 18-wheeler through there

As long as it's either not super-muddy nor washed from the rains and snow melt it's an easy, scenic ride.

Check out Nate Harrison Grade, also on Palomar Mt., nice trail, easy if the same ^ conditions are clear

Nate Harrison Grade was graded recently, you could make it up in a skateboard now.

So a 2wd PreRunner would probably make it

Yep, it's actually a pretty cool ride. I prefer to do it on dirt bike vs the Jeep though.

Nate's Grade ..

If you are going alone, you better have communication.
I did that grade in my '95 YJ in approx. April in a light rain and it got very
tricky. I really would NOT attempt without 4 wheeldrive !
If someone is coming down while you are going up, it is not pretty.
