Odf 2011

It's this weekend, 10/14-15, and raises money for a really good cause.

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f317/...-15-a-1251755/

It's pretty far east this year, only a couple miles from Salton City.

Personally I'm not all that fired up about the wheeling out there; it's pretty much gullys, dirt piles and some dunes. But, planning to go out mostly as a shake down trip after the camper remodel. Put in the generator and ran the A/C yesterday.

Planning to camp near Ocatillo Wells and go overland to the event area to save some towing miles.

Who else is going? Show of hands?

I have an open house event I need to work for a client on Saturday so I'm out. Plus, the Jeep is still not sorted after our last trip out. Anyone good at diagnosing vibes???

Wow. You have been busy; that was 10 months ago.

What sort of vibes? As I recall we thought you migh have bent your drive shaft.

Yeah, I still think it's drive train related. I just haven't pulled the shaft yet and had it checked yet. I also need to remove the pitman arm and move it a spline. I can't get the steering centered correctly.

Heading out now. 11:15.

Stopping in Ramona for gas and food, then out to the desert

That will buff right out.

And a smashed steering stabilizer

My steering stabilizer looked just like that recently. It gave me HORRIBLE death wobble. I thought I was going to shoot right off the freeway....numerous times.

$35 pro comp steering stabilizer to replace it and all is well.

..... except now I just went soa with high steer.... ssshhhhh......

Yes, that is Jimmy spotting his own Jeep, and, since he was the spotter, technically he's responsible for damage

I had no idea that a factory skid could be bent that badly, shoulda installed the belly-up

I apprecitate your concern, Chris, but I think I'll risk it and keep the Jeep.
