Newbie to this Jeep thing

Not sure where I put my intro but figure I will be doing most if not all my posting and reading here.

Just got a jeep, thanks to all the pressure from NateWithoutBeer and Gomez on this forum, talk about peer pressure. I am not a virgin to jeep ownership though(1990 jeep Sahara), but definitely when it comes to 4x4 (it was really just for show). 7 years later I am able to buy another one and ready to embarrass myself with my lack of knowledge when it comes to 4x4ing but will to learn. Thanks

Jimi

It's good to see you drop-in.

Kick up a chair, read some silly posts/threads and stick around for a while. There's some real nice folks who tend to hang out here.

I drive through there once in a while going to and from my parents house in Hemet.

Seems like we need a meet and greet at wild wings one of these days

What? Where are these nice folks you speak of? I have yet to find any!

Thought maybe this would be an appropriate thread to introduce myself as well!

I've been lurking around these forums for a while. I had a 2010 Unlimited Rubi for about 6 months, so I stuck around in the JK related forums and ran with the guys from Orange county. I had a little mishap and totaled it, and figured it was just not worth buying it back from my insurance. It was just too heavy and expensive. I'm actually pretty sour about the "new" JKs after that.

Few weeks ago I found a good deal on Craigslist, and purchased a 2002 TJ
So far I been really enjoying it! These last couple weeks I been buying what ever I could fit on it with the insurance money I got back. Currently it's sitting over at Hard Rock 4x4 off Heritage Rd. getting it's axles regeared and a salvaged lift put on.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to wheeling with few of you guys. Nothing too hard core though .. I'm on a very strict budget lol
