Need a bit of TDS advice

Hey there San Diego folks! BDS suspension is shipping me out to TDS for the first time this year, and I'm getting some mixed reports on what to expect weather-wise out there. I've heard everything from lows in the 20s to highs in the 70s...

Any advice out there? I doubt it will hit the balmy -4* with windchill that it was yesterday morning when I got up, but I really don't want to pack for the tundra and die of heatstroke, or freeze to death in California, ironic as that would be.

Supposed to be a cold snap and even without that it often gets down into the 30s at night in the desert this time of year. Probably be mid 60s during the day. There is rain forcast for saturday but it may not make it that far east.

its pretty tricky out there. Usually nice and warm during the day with the occassional freak wind storm. We had a pretty bad sand storm crop up a few years back during the day. Last year the weather was great during the day, cold and windy as hell at night, and it rained the final morning when we were breaking camp. The desert can be very unpredictable and extreme as far as the weather goes. That being said, TDS is always a blast. I'm counting the days!!

like they said, expect extreme cold at night. yes 40's is extreme cold for us wimpy san diego natives. according to the weather channel website, its going to be in the high 70's during the day and mid 40's at night next weekend. sunny skies.

Thanks, guys! I appreciate the advice, I'm pretty sure that the weather guys out there are about as SMRT as the ones here in Michigan- that's why I figured asking the locals was a good idea!

We had a small booth this year up by the registration tent, it was kind of a "scouting trip" for us, we usually go small the first time out at a show we haven't done before. We will be back next year with a larger display. I think the coldest it got was the high 40's- if that. I came back to 20's plus a windchill- cooled off the sunburn nicely.

TDS was an absolute blast- I've never seen anything back east like the Notches after dark- wow. Did some fast runs through the desert in a stock rental JK- at 65mph she rode the bumpstops pretty hard. I got to hang out with some of our west cost Distributors, got a guided tour of some great wheeling and met a ton of cool California Jeepers!
