Moving to Chula Vista

Hey y'all just wanted to check in and say I will be in the area by mid May for a few months. Are there any laws I should be aware of so I don't end up getting any ridiculous tickets? Like mudflaps, lights, etc. I have a Khaki LJ 2'' lift, 35's, metalcloaks front and rear, nothing too extreme just don't want any trouble from the law.
Thanks,
Issack

based on your build, your fine.. I run flareless fenders on 35's and have sat next to cops at red lights. They could care less. I also have no front plate, no light on my rear plate.. Your fine. Be more prepared for theft. Alarm, garage it, don't take it to the movies, mall etc.... Your right next to the border dude.. If it gets stolen say bye bye.

What he said. I got pulled over a few times in a short span a few years back in my JK but that was because I was fenderless w/35's. It was always motorcycle cops too for some reason. Other then that, you'll probably be fine. Jeeps fly under the radar here for the most part when it comes to the law. The only other time I had a cop questioning me (that wasn't a bike cop), he was asking me where I went wheeling.

Issac,

This is how you get out of a "no fenders" ticket in San Diego county. LMK if you need a write up.

Well thanks fellas. Sounds like I wont have any problem there. Glad the house I found has a garage. I have the 6'' flares on my Jeep but I love the rear flares premo. Now how often do yall go out wheeling in the summer? Looking to do something while im there, but definitely gonna be a change in terrain.

Dont worry we'll take you out... Wont be going to the desert I don't think as it is just to plain hot. Maybe some Corral Canyon or Big Bear though. Last time we went to Big Bear (like 2 or so wks ago) it was a bit more challenging than I've ever seen it. Certainly keeps the stockers at home.

might be time for another trip or two to the desert before it gets too, too hot. Last year I went spur of the moment on memorial weekend when it was unexpectedly cool for a couple days.

well, today it was 93 and it's spring.... summertime often gets above 105... mind you, there's ZERO shade. No am/pm's, not gas stations when your out there and if you break down, your lips sound like bacon being cooked.

Oh boy....heeere we go. LOL. YA I don't know how keen I am in heading out that way until next season. Last year when we headed out in April Ron started showing signs of heat stroke. That wasn't fun. Corral canyon would be fine. Jessica was wanting to go next month anyways. Then there's always big bear. I'm shocked with how rutted out it was. Not that I'm complaining or anything. Those two places at least have shade though
