I'll be working on the Film Transportation Crew again this year.

I'm not sure how many of us will be filming - there was 14 of us last year (plus the helo).

Mark Matthews assured me that he won't work me as hard as last year we'll see.

I plan on being there from the 5th thru the 12th or 13th.

We always camp away from the crowds, although on a week like this, that'll be hard to do.

If you know where the trailhead of Turkey Claw is (a relatively new trail) we are ~200 yards from there.

This is a pic of my junk near the trailhead:

If you enter JV from Boone Rd, once you get close to the lakebed on the right side of the rd, you should see a triangular shaped JV info sign. Just before that sign, you should see a few lightly traveled dirt trails shooting off from the left side of the road. These narrow splinter trails generally take you so that you are headed towards a sandy hill. You can't miss the sandy hill since its the only one in this general area. Just to the left of that sandy hill is a canyon (Turkay Claw) & just left of Turkey Claw is our normal campsite.

There is absolutely NO permanent camp facilities in JV!

No water
No electric
No propane
No fuel/gas
No cable TV
No public phones
No sewage
No stores
No dump stations
NOTHING!

Bring everything you need & take everything with you when you leave.

Do NOT bring firewood with nails (pallets).

Dry camping at its best.

There will be several vendors there offering certain services (water fill-ups, tank dumping, etc) but be advised, they won't be cheap or easily available.
