Johnson Valley April 10-12

Hello,

Mark your calendars next month for a trip to the hammers. Leave Friday, wheel Saturday/Sunday morning and come back Sunday afternoon. This will be the Chuggy's maiden voyage so I'm hoping to get into some deep rocks.

Ron- feel free to take my open seat.
Kevin- get your hemi swap done

Art - will you be our tour guide? We need one...

Who all else is down?

*****UPDATED******

Camp is about a mile past the bridge. Keep an eye out for this:

May the Rock Gods have mercy on you (Art will fill you in ).

As you've probably heard - Clawhammer, Lower Big Johnson, Upper Big Johnson or Boulderdash are a few starter trails you may wish to run.

Have fun!

Hey Joe. When I went up there a couple years ago with Blaine and Eric we ran Sun Bonnet and (I think) After Shock. Does that sound right?

I have found a couple pretty decent maps and I'm not afraid to turn around but any thoughts are welcome, obviously.

Yea, you could have ran those trails.

If you ran Sunbonnet Pass, you most likely ran Hell's Gate and Devil's Slide prior to Sunbonnet. At least - that's the way we typically run Sunbonnet by doing those two trails prior to it.

After Shock is also a bit of a ride & on the back side of JV.

I kind of like this map. I drove a similar course ~3 years ago.

I'm sure someone will have an open seat if you're worried about damage. I'd offer up mine but Ron has much deserved dibs on it

so guess who just got those days off? ME! Hopefully I'll have my engine broken in by then. Also found a wasted front upper arm bushing, and same arm JJ is shot at axle mount. Probably explains all the shimmy at Superstition

Hi gang! Kuruma has talked me into going with y'all. Gonna bring Mrs. Moose, too. Maybe even her sister. I sure hope Art comes out, so Cathy can see what our little jeepie can grow up to be. I've been really busy lately, teaching at 2 schools and building a complete program at another. Looks like I've got a lot of catching up to do.
