Jeep Stolen in Encinitas Last Night

Posting for a fellow jeeper:

My 1997 Jeep TJ was stolen from my driveway in Encinitas last night. The Jeep is white with a tan soft top. It has a 4" long arm lift and BFG 35 X 13.50 Krawler tires. It has Poison Spyder flat fenders and corners. It has a Warn winch with a Hi Lift jack on top of it on the front bumper. It has black Inland Empire 4 Wheelr decals on both sides.
The license plate number is "HIS TJ". Please keep an eye out for it.

Thanks,

Tom Thompson

id just like to point out that if youre going to steal a jeep, make it a stocker...how the hell is someone gonna hide a seemingly customized jeep?

then again, go big or go home...

sorry to hear about it, and if by some stretch of amazingness it ends up in my neck of the woods (say, roughly, 3200 miles away) itll end with a shotgun in the thief's mouth

Just a short drive to Mexico from here.

In years past jeeps and other trucks and SUVs have mysteriously found their way into the fleet of the Tijuana police dept.

yep im willing to bet that its in mexico by now. i wouldnt be surprised if it was mexican police that took it or were involved, over there they are the gangs.

a kill switch is always a good idea. id like to see someone try n steal mine.it would be fun to throw gasoline on them and light them on fire....just kiddin.

It's probably out wheeling with Jerry's Jeep down south of the border.
That really sucks.

how hard would it be for border patrol to check id's and registration on the way out of the country, seems like that would help out a lot.

Sorry to hear about you Jeep. Ive almost pistol whipped people for "looking" inside my Jeep at night.... And are the Mexican police really driving around stolen Jeeps and SUV's??? If so, thats just another reason to completely close the border off. F**K Mexico

A few years back a couple of TJ Cops were arrested in Coronado for auto theft.

My eyes are peeled in San Diego. When you're a jeep owner, you notice jeeps a lot more than other drivers....

Keep an eye out on craigslist for your parts. Maybe OC, Riverside & LA counties too.
