I need a tow

I just posted this in the SD thread but thought I'd post it here too incase it got lost

Anybody have a tow truck, trailer or want to lend a hand in the next month or so? i need to get a 95 F250 from Temecula to my place? I'm getting it from a buddy of mine but it needs a little work to get it to move since its been parked forever. IE: fuel tank drained, injectors cleaned, brakes bled, etc. This will be my new daily/tow rig. Its pretty clean, has a 460, extended cab, 4x4 etc.

Anyways, i'll pay for time, gas labor, etc...just trying to save a few bucks before i call and get raped by a tow truck. much appreciated

Could always find a friend with AAA that has decent towing and use their account and get it towed for free

My truck will tow up to 8200#, if you can find a trailer with the matching brake connection.

Whats the truck weigh? I have a car hauler but that truck is pushing it's limits. I have hauled a 94 standard cab F250 with a 5.8 to big bear no problem. I also have a couple Super Duties but a jacked up schedule, either I am working 24/7 or I am off 24/7 depending on the week.

oh god, i have no idea. its a long bed, extended cab 4x4 with a 460. i'm sure its heavy as all hell lol anyways, i'll let you know dude :) got company flying in from out of town this Friday until the following weekend so i'm sure that will absorb most all of my time lol

I am sure my trailer can handle it but it would be nice to know ahead of time. Do you have AAA with the 100 mile tow?

premo 03-13-2013 05:39 PM

lol no, i have verizon roadside assistance ;) its not a huge rush, its sitting at a mates house. i have a month or two to get it

brokenujoint 03-13-2013 07:25 PM

how about you just fix it then drive it home? You got a month or two ....

I'm sure I could....in fact, i know i could. Unfortunately its not an option. Dude is giving me the truck gratis but has requested it be towed away, not driven. He is more comfortable with that. Its a good friend of mine so I'll abide by his wishes :)

Thinking about doing this over the weekend but so far none of the rental trailers are long enough.

Wheelbase is 155", 5500#.

Any other ideas?

I tried Hertz, Penske, uhaul, clairemont EQ, Hawthorne Catepillar and united rentals. Coming up dry here. Any ideas gents? :)

My trailer is good for 7k but my tow rig is not. Welcome to it ,let me know. If its local I can use my service truck.
