Jerome's is a funny place.
Betsy's daughter ordered a really nice California king bed. They delivered it with no slats to support the box spring. So they sent out a new bed. So we ended up with two beds. We called and they came to pick one of them up.
Betsy and I have a Ca king Select Comfort (sleep number thingy type) bed and grandma slept on it while we were in Alaska. She loved it, so we ordered a Select Comfort bed for grandma in a queen size. They sent two. We called them to make them aware of their mistake, and they said they showed no record of two being shipped or delivered, and said it would cost more to do the paperwork to have it picked up and re-stocked, so they would call us back. They never did. We called them again and they said the same thing.
So now we have three Select Comfort beds. Most comfortable mattress ever.
They just opened a new Jerome's here in town. I'm going shopping this weekend. We need some new living room furniture.
I wonder how they stay in business.

I don't know if volume can make up for the mistakes they seem to make. The mattresses that Ric mentioned are several thousand dollars a piece. Combine that with some obvious missteps in my encounter with them and it seems that this happens more often then I would have imagined.

Call them up and ask what your balance is. Lots of times companies will do shady stuff like this and then after 90 days they stick you with the 25% interest fees.

Funny to bring this thread back up, but, my father-in-law just brought me a new present.

A brand new dining room set with chairs from Jeromes. A duplicate of the same exact set he bought, paid for and PICKED UP last month! Turns out they were "back-ordered" on the set he bought, and they FINALLY got it in for him. They were very concerned and called him repeatedly asking him to come pick it up, so he did, again.....

Thank you Jeromes!

Yeah, the first think I thought of was SWEET, I have to post this on Jeepforum!

Best part is, we were actually window shopping for a new dinette set, NOT ANY MORE!

So invite me over for dinner so we can try it out!
Steak would be good. I'll bring the wine.

You bring the steaks and we'll call it a deal! I'm sure the wife has a few bottles of wine sitting around that she won't be drinking for about a year seeing that we're expecting again. I stay away from the vino myself. Never could develop a taste for that stuff!

Wow!

You can spend hours reading stories similar to ours online about Jerome's. I don't know how they manage it.

My brother was looking for a dining room set at Jerome's and I told him to put at least half on one of their credit deals. Worst case scenario is that he paid it off the next month.

I wonder if this could be used as a new form of investment. All you need is the capital for the initial purchase and then just return both, order 2, return all 4, order 4, return all 8, etc etc :-p

Sounds like a good way to finance some upgrades for the Jeep!

Well if they're still in business when I get back in November, I know exactly where I'm buying new living room furniture!!
