experience with local media providers

I currently have time warner cable for my tv and internet; I guess they are ok. Spending about $100 monthly with no phone server and no premium channels.

I used to have directv and I liked their service and channel selection but at the time it was a lot cheaper to switch to cable.

Also, I have tivo now and like it a lot. Anyone with experience using the DVR service from TW or AT&T?

So, what is everyone using and how do you like it?

Options are:
AT&T uverse for everything
directv for tv and time warner for internet.
directv and dsl internet service
stay where I am

I Have Time Warner here in Mission Valley. For my laptop, the gateway is constantly binding up and have to manually get off line then on.. It's annoying. I just changed my plan.. Instead of paying out the nose for internet and cable I just went and got a 20mbs internet for 44.00 a month and bought a blueRay, piggy backed the router to the blueray to the tv and now I just stream movies from Netflix, watch youtube, listen to pandora.. etc.. And i still watch regular tv too. Saves me about 80.00 a month this way. Use my cellphone for my phone (dont have a land line). Something to think about .

Last yr I had AT&T and it was a good set up. No internet issues, not the highest tier of channels but good service.. And it wasnt cheap.

TW wants $52 just for internet alone. Seems like a lot.

i have cox for TV and internet. i'm on the promo package for internet right now, but have the hidef box with DVR service and it comes in around 90 bucks. i think its going to jump to 110 after the 3 month promo ends. no real complaints minus the price, but that seems to be about straight across the board from what i can tell, unless you want to sign into a 2yr with the dish. i'll pass on that lol

I have had Cox, TW, and now I'm using AT&T U verse. At&t has been the best. Great HD picture and Fast internet! Cox was good and TW was the worst! TW uses old boxes, bad picture, and crappy menu selection that mad you feel like you where using 80s cable

We use Cox for everything, our neighbors have Direct TV, TW, AT&T, etc. etc. and Cox seems to be the quickest around here with the best TV picture.

Me too. I thought it was a lot better. I love Direct TV. I'm not a big fan of my AT&T internet though. Stick w/ Cox internet.

Ive heard Cox cable is really good but when I moved into my new place they don't service my address so I was stuck with TW. Not at all happy with the laptop but the streaming seems to work well for Netflix and such. Didnt opt for the cable service. Just the internet does me well.
