Thats kinda what I've been reading. In my book, California Trails, it says just about any 2WD can do most of it because a good portion is maintained since it is the access road to those communications towers.

Gonna think about this one a bit more. Its kinda far to run a pretty basic trail.

From what I've read and understand, the only part that is regularly maintained is the part from Santiago Peak to Corona, which is the last leg.
There are alternate routes that are more of a challenge.
Would be a good shakedown run to make sure your lift is dialed in.
It's gunna' be even more fun if it's raining or has just rained.

Hope you still make it.

I put my soft top on today. Hated to, but I'll probably need it on anyway.
Just isn't the same.

I'll be running the soft top with the doors on. I spent three days cleaning out the dust after the last run....
There are some smooth sections to the trail yes. But there are some decently challenging side trails. Between those, the scenery and company it should be a fun run. I'm not gonna miss it!

Merry Christmas everybody!

Dang it!!
I put my top on yesterday, and it's sunny and warm today.
I shoulda' waited until tomorrow. Oh well.

Yeah I want to try some of the side trails, and just want to get out and get dirt on my tires, enjoy the view and the company.
Looking forward to it.

Channel 7? I have no preference, but that number just popped into my head.

I'm sure there will be some mud up there.

We'll be stopping to eat at the Blackstar towers on Santiago Peak.
Make sure you check your tire pressures like Obama said. Don't want anybody running out of gas up there.
Just talked to FallbrookMudd on the phone. He confirmed he's going also.
