There should be a few mud holes for the guys to drive through to make it look like you went wheeling..

Hey. A dirt road with a mud puddle is BIG TIME off roading for us Geritol Jeepers.

Some pics from my last trip through Main Divide:

One of the side trails. My brothers passenger felt safer walking.

Some scenery, looking south east towards Palomar Mountain I think..

My brother decending a side trail.

Random picture from the top of Santiago Peak.

All in all it is a fun trail. Nothing too major. A stock Jeep can negotiate most anything we ran across. I cleared the trip with the wife. My brother will be coming along with his TJ as well. We are both in stock TJs, disconnected.

I'll be solo, my brother may have his wife.

Once we get to the start of Main Divide, my brother or myself can take lead. It's pretty hard to get lost. All the side trails either dead end or drop back onto the main trail. There are some different service roads, but getting to Santiago Peak is simple.

From there, we'll have to play it by ear. My brother has been all the way through I think. I've got GPS, and my brother has his forestry maps so not a big issue.

PLEASE NOTE:
You might be required to have a Forest Adventure Pass. Maybe not to drive, but oddly enough to PARK! I've got a spare secondary vehicle pass which I can let someone borrow if need be. If you want to get one, check with Big 5 or Sport's Authority. They are cheap enough.

Just heard on the radio a 20% chance of rain for Sunday.
Hope they're wrong.
All that mud make's it harder to wash the Jeep when we get down.
