Cleghorn/Silverwood is a great summer destination, but it get's cold at night up there this time of year. Hopefully the weekend we plan it will have milder temps at night.
But I am definately up for trip up there. Scenic area and a not too difficult run up Cleghorn from what I've heard/read.

I don't understand why someone has to "lead" the run? Can't everyone just meet up?

They absolutely can. I just know there were a few people planning on going that had never been and I don't want those folks showing up wondering where I was since I planned this run. I don't want to leave anyone high and dry is all. I just want someone to say that they are gonna be the organizing party.

I'm still planning on going, but that's not saying anything as I've never been there before in a jeep and it's been a few years since I was last there on a bike . . .

Would definitely like to have someone show me around out there and keep me from getting in over my head as I'm new at this.

Possible change in aspect ratio...

Have to work a double/overnight shift Thursday am to Friday am for major uh-oh repairs (we have to shut down the water system for a few hours) so looks like camping at least is off the menu.

Saturday depends on how things go Thursday/Friday night.

I'm 90% sure I can make the day run but I have too much going on to be able to camp this weekend.

well apart from the concert I seem to have caught whatever bug my mother had and I am now sick as hell. still have a few things on the YJ to fix from TDS too, so yeah, unfortunately I am gonna have to miss this run. I may put together another full moon night run to go out to CC some time in May or so. Eric and I did one last summer and it was great

Sounds like there's at least three of us, but the numbers are dwindling every day

It's about a 2 hour drive for me from North County, SD so I'd like to confirm what time folks are planning on meeting up. I have no problem getting up before dawn to make an early morning meet, but getting my wife and kiddies rolling very early takes a lot of prior planning and coaching. So I'll need to start smooth talking soon if it's going to be an early day

Unfortunately, I'm actually gonna have to bow out as well. It looks too extreme out there for my poor TJ and it's my only ride to work. Sorry guys!

not that extreme, as long as you stay off the bronco peak connector. The rest can be done with a bone stock jeep and a good spotter.
