Camping April 30-May 2nd?

A buddy and I are planning a camping/wheeling trip the weekend of April 30th - May 2nd. We'll both be in my YJ and are both novices.

I'm wondering if anyone would be up for joining us. Not sure where we'll go but would prefer someplace with mild/medium trails. Maybe Superstition Mtn, maybe corral canyon. I'm open for suggestions. Let me know.

There are a few trips brewing for the upcoming weeks but for that exact date, look into this trip to Corral Canyon.

That looks fun. Any insight from you guys on the trail ratings? Other than a 3.5" lift my Jeep's pretty much stock and I've only got 31s. Gunslinger's rated medium so I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have any issues there but could I run Sidewinder and Bronco Peak up there?

you would be fine on both sidewinder and bronco peak. just not the 3A connector. i did both of them in my stock XJ with no problems.

Trail ratings: Kinda like Captain Barbossa said about the Pirate's Code, the code is more of what you call guidelines than actual rules

Trail ratings will give you an idea but it really comes down to you and you Jeep. We've taken plenty of stock Jeeps across "3" rated trails, and have watched Jeeps disintegrate on "1"s.

You're on the right track, come out and learn from The Pros

Corral Canyon is a good place to start, come on out that weekend, I'll be camping out there

My brother and I (both TJs) and possibly another buddy with a YJ might be heading down for a weekend of camping and playing 14-16th. I've been through some of the main trails with my K2500 Suburban years back and most everything else on dirt bikes over the years. It ought to be fun in a Jeep to see how my little stocker on 31s does vs my brothers 2" spaced on 30s vs the YJ.

PM me when you lock down the 14th-16th weekend. My buddy just picked up a YJ and we're both heading out to CC with SCUFF this weekend, but the wive's also want to make a trip and the 14th might be perfect for it.

Will do njovin. We would be arriving to CC on the 14th if we do go, but it will be later in the afternoon/evening. My brother and his friend have to come down from OC and I'll probably be leaving from work in Oceanside.
