Calling all San Diego Jeep Fans!

Come join a group of local Jeepers as we start up San Diego's first Jeep-only club for the true Jeep enthusiast. Membership is open to all experience levels, all age ranges, and all levels of modification from fresh off the lot Jeeps to those with more after market parts than OEM! Events will range from social gatherings and BBQs to trail rides to intense rock-crawling expeditions. Whether you've been off roading for years or have never had your Jeep in 4WD, you'll fit in with SD Jeepin'.

Our first club event, open to anyone with a Jeep, will be held on Saturday the 31st of July on the beaches of Fiesta Island. We will set up on the North West side of the island, north of the cut-off road. Things kick off at 4:30pm. Bring some food, some drink, and your Jeep. Come to socialize, find out more about the club, and to get your information into our system to become part of the group. The only requirement to be a part of the club is to have a Jeep, it's that simple!

Hahaha, there are a few rules, like you would find with any club... We actually have significantly fewer; no membership requirements or minimum number of meetings before you can be a member... When you boil it down our rules are there for two reasons: 1- legal CYA for the club, 2- to make it clear that acting like a fool is not going to be tolerated. Simply put, all the rules say is to act responsibly when with the club... pretty simple stuff in our opinion, but clearly not for everybody.

Is there an area of the island you folks are planning to be at? I know it's only so big, I just hate having to circle around if I somehow miss ya'.

North west side of the island... stay right at the fork and drive all the way around the perimeter... we posted signs and we have our phone number up and running if you get lost.

It went pretty well Rik.

As a guess - probably ~12-15 Jeeps throughout the day. It was a family style Jeepers gathering with children & pets as well. Overall, it was a friendly group & nice gathering.

I got there ~5PM & stayed till ~8PM. I BBQ'd a few Johnston, Polska Kielbasa's & ate some chips.

Jeff & Kal made it as well. The mayor of La Mesa (Art) & his wife Debbie attended (they have a pristine '07 Rubi).

Junior, of the Balboa ORW was there. He passed out "thank you" bags to everyone which was nice.

Jeff, Kal & I went to do some trolling in Pacific Beach afterwards (since we were thirsty).
