ok guys my buddy got back to me he wants to go but he can only go in the afternoon.

so would meeting at four corners at 1pm work for everyone? (4 corners address below it is a dirt lot after coming up the one lane road)
Corral Canyon OHV Area
Morena Stokes Valley Rd
Campo, CA 91906

my thought is for the trail we have about 5 rigs tops from the people i think that are wanting to go. now about 2 maybe 3 of the rigs could do something harder after los pinos myself and kuruma i think sidewinder would be a good test run for him, now my proposal is we park the rigs that can't do sidewinder and have them ride with me and or Kuruma if he has an open seat. then we'll go back to the rigs air up and go to alpine and do anderson truck trail then air up and go home.

That works for me. I still have a short somewhere in my lockers blowing a fuse but I should be able to run most of it out there. I'll have an open seat. In a now 2 seater Jeep that's an accomplishment.

nice, yeah you may need your lockers if you really want to do the hard line on sidewinder but other then that you wont. so no worries.

I went out to Campo this afternoon for a non-jeep errand and was amazed at how much cooler it was. Fully overcast and threatening rain. It was only about 80 degrees.

Bummer. I missed that. Seems I'm not the only one who is awake before dawn. I hate it when I can't sleep.

I do but am in need of getting a wrenching party together to get the darn thing put back in. Installed a cage and looking at viable options for locations and that hard top is just a lil tricky to get off the jeep by yaself. lol REI has the day adventure passes for $4.99. I'm headed up there in an hour or so to pick one up for the run.

A tip on Adventure passes: Don't scratch off the date. That way you can reuse it, until a ranger catches it. Then, they just make you scratch it off. Done it for years in BB.

You ham guys should join us on the Lyons Peak repeater every morning. 1460265 + shift PL 107.2. Pretty much from 6 AM to 7:30 or so.

Let me know if you want some help getting your rig in.

Well I missed this one. I was in the area but no dice. I figured there would be gas in the general area of where the trail head was and was dead wrong. GPS had me looking for one of the 15 Lyons gate or whatever roads out there in bfe and I was starting to get to the uncomfy side of low. I like starting the trails with a near full tank. Especially if I don't know how long they are. I found pancake rock though. lol Next time I'll follow someone out there and pin it to the gps for posterity. Still had a good drive out on the country roads out there. Mistress handles pretty good but she creaks and squeaks like crazy now!!! And the GPS did take me through a rutted dirt road I thought was going to be someones driveway. Some real hills have eyes schlitz.

Good Idea Moose. I thought of that as I was pulling back into my parking space here and smacked my forehead. AH well. Until next time.
