Big Bear Trip?

Hi Everyone-

I wanted to see what your thoughts are on a Big Bear wheeling trip soon? Is anyone interested? We would have to pick a weekend that isn't snowing as much as last time

depending on the weekend I would be very interested to go. I've been itching for a real wheeling trip but everyone I go with either backs out or just wants to drive around on dirt roads. My 4wd needs some exercise

I still have nightmares from the last Big Bear trip! Imagine Jeeps sliding out of control down a bobsled shute.

It's a miracle there was not a ton of carnage from that adventure.

I'm actually surprised that Kim wants to go back. I figured she was checked out on wheeling in the snow after sliding and hitting your Jeep.

I know, I think out of all that we had a bent license plate and a scraped fender.

I am thinking to go up and bring the jeeps and if there is a ton of snow then maybe skip wheeling and go inner tubing or sit by the fire and watch the snow. Always in favor of a weekend away.

Are you thinking of a date yet? I chatted with Eric the other day and he suggested a camping trip around the 2nd-3rd weekend of December focusing on geocaching; which is interesting to me as I've never done it.

That's a good plan. Let's check out the weather and decide on a good weekend.

Early January look's good. The weekend of Jan 9/10 works for the kids too.

I will probably be up there anyway since I am there every other week or so and can borrow a CJ-8 from a family member to go wheeling.

PS that mountain is evil I have already lost two trucks and a car(Don't ask) to the trails up there.

This was last weekend. I keep this truck up there most of the time and if anyone ever needs tools or a place to repair anything let me know. I grew up in Big Bear and my family is still there and that dodge crew truck is loaded with tools and 4x4.

This is why I will probably go but not wheel until the snow is gone. I'd like to know if there is something underneath the snow I'm about to drive over. I'll have to hunt down the video from the last snow run....

This should have been our first clue to stay in and drink all day. We woke up to burried Jeeps that wouldn't start.
