the views are killer. Gold mountain is crazy bumpy though with all the little rocks, but love the view for sure!

Gold mountain does have a good view.
I really like the John Bull trail tho'.
There is a great trail just past Crab Flats I want to go on again. Last time we went, we got about half way and the Toyota had to turn around and go back.
There is a swimming hole on that trail with a cliff you can jump off of. You know, that cliff your parents always said "if your friend jumps off a cliff would you"? cliff. I always answered yes to that question. I got hit a lot. I shoulda' called CPS. But I'm digressing again...
The trail down the backside of big bear down into the desert has some great views too.

i know that trail down the backside! very pretty cruising thru there. you're speaking of the one where you cross over a creek bed a few times, yea? i think its off holcomb road or somethign? i dont recall the name, but it was off a main dirt road and dropped off to teh highway about a mile or two before you go down that steap grade to teh desert floor. anyways, love that area. sad to be back in town
