Big Bear anyone?

Thinking about going up to big bear this Sunday if anyone is down. Looking to hit the harder trails like Holcomb Creek and John Bull.

How about planning for a new trip? Moose had mentioned going on 9/20; hopefully there will be a trip then. I probably won't make that one since I'll be in New Hampshire for the whole previous week but I'm for sure interested in at least one more trip before snow. Oktoberfest starts mid September. It's crowded and an expensive event but I would still check it out if I was up there anyway.

Who else? When?

Today, I finished repairing the damage from the LAST BB trip. (Note to self: NO back seat passengers on John Bull!) Maybe going to Truckhaven Saturday night or Pancake Rock for a check-out.
Jeff, what do mean, "hopefully there will be a trip then"? Let's make it happen. You don't NEED to go to NH, do you? Come-on, man! It's my birthday AND my 7th wedding anniversary!!!

I am heading out to BB tomorrow morning, taking the Jeep and a small trailer with a couple dirt bikes, camping (tent) @ Crab flats..

Anybody else heading out there? Lemme know, I need a Jeep buddy to play with, lol.

Locked on 33's, Mid travel on 12" coilovers. I dont know the area at all, since I have only been there for Snowboarding during winter.

We're doing Gold mountain trail and Rattlesnake canyon trail if no one's going up. Wouldn't want to attempt John bull or Holcomb on my own. OP you still going???

I wouldn't run Gold Mountain alone, and I've run it many times.

Mmm....depends on your rig. I ran up it and didn't really find it just challenging at all. I was just making reference to it being the bumpiest road on the face of the planet that serves no purpose other then to beat the piss out of your suspension, and back. I was not a happy camper when I was done with that one. The view is nice at the top though I guess lol

It is certainly bumpy. There are a couple of obstacles that you can get out of whack on. I just like to be careful. Besides, that's where I broke my axle...
