97' 4.0 Intake Mainfold Question

First question, So my exhaust manifold was broken in 3 parts, so I replaced it. That took FOREVER (100 degree heat is NOT fun, and trying to find all the bolts underneath took some dislocating of my joints) Follow a great tut. but I a stupid (no shame admitting this) and when I put it back on one of the tabs on the intake manifold broke off (totally my fault) So I lined up everything as best as I could and bolted things up. I took like 30 mins doing this so each side is the same (or damn close) So after bolting everything up, started her up and smoke for a few seconds (gaskets) and was running great. I haven't taken her out yet but I don't hear anything, so it looks like the exhaust sealed (know more when I do the smog check)

My question - How do I know if the intake manifold sealed? What kind of symptoms will show up / How do I tell if it going to work.

Have the engine running and spray wd40 or carb cleaner around the manifold. If it's leaking it will suck in and change the idle speed.
