Yj full doors not fitting!

1990 yj with what I believe is a factory hard top and yj full doors which I recently bought. Is there a secret to getting these to fit right? I've tried every which way and played with the hinge bolts and the end result is always the latch won't square up right.. I've got about a half inch gap where the windshield, door and top meet on the upper left corner of the drivers side. Any advice or tips please! I have pictures but the jeep forum app won't allow me to upload a decent photo.

You also have to loosen the latch pin for adjustment on the tub to get it right sometimes
