Sealing armor ?

I have Savvy corners and rocker armor. This is not a complaint against the product. I love the armor and the quality is exceptional as is the fit. But, moisture can get between any armor and the body panels.

My body was in good shape and I added several coats of rust preventative paint and before installation I coated both the Jeep and the (powder coated) armor mating surfaces with Corrosion X.

However, water can get in there and my concern is all the grit and salt on the roads now. Has anyone ever sealed the edges, at least the upper and forward facing edges with silicone RTV?

I would clean the area to be sealed and then apply a coat of wax and then the RTV. This would allow the RTV to be pulled away and removed (maybe).

Any thoughts?

J
