Satin or semi gloss paint job.

I want to paint my rig with the rustoleum semi gloss qt I found at home depot and autozone has a satin clear coat qt. I was told this gives it a matte look. Has anyone every done this? How did turn out? how long have you had it on and how does it hold up?

I tried semi-gloss and it was too shiny. The satin was perfect for me. Sortof matte look to hide imperfections but still just enough sheen for a clean look.
