Removing paint from door panels?

I can't seem to find a thread on this

I'm restoring a set of half doors for my 93 and the panels which were originally spice in color, were spray painted black at some point and was done horribly. Is there any way to remove the spray paint without harming the panels to restore the original color?

Pressure washer maybe. Most of the factory panels are dyed. Id hate to tell you to try some stripper designed for plastic parts and have it eff up the underneath.
