Painting the ZJ grill

Hey all! I would like to paint the grill black on my 96 ZJ. What is the best way to get this done at home. I here a lot on other forums about rattle can spray paints working well. I think I'd like to paint it with that 'truck bed liner' texture stuff. Not sure if these come in spray cans or not. Has any body done this before?

I scuffed my plastic looking chrome grill with 150 grit sandpaper and used BBQ grill flat black. It came out great!

Nice!
I ended up using black plasti-dip spray. It came out great too, it has an 'orange-peel' texture to it. I'm glad I went with it. Thinking about doing the same to the plastic rocker covers and maybe the trim and bumpers. Hell! I might just Linex the entire body!
