Painting rims?

I have a stock '03 TJ. Wanted to get a new set of wheels and tires but can't afford them at the moment, so I'm trying to make my Jeep look a little less stock. It's a black Freedom edition and has the five spoke chrome colored rims. Any opinions or suggestions as far as what type of paint (gloss or matte) and tips on how to do it?

You could try some plasti-dip paint from the hardware store. Its a rubber based completely removable paint
Its pretty cheap but if you don't like it it just peel s right off.
