painting fender flares??........

hey there, was wondering if anyone has had experience painting the regular black fender flares the same color as the body( just like the saharas ) can it be done? does it need to be taken to the dealership? thanks for any and all info, cheers!

just sand with 220 paper,wipe down with acetone and paint ur choice of color

Use a degreaser then sand and wipe with acetone. Simple green is a great degreaser that will clean them. The biggest problem is that they soak up all the chemicals that are used to polish and condition them.

If you want to paint them body color, use a primer first, and get a spray can of the factory color match spray paint.
