Paint Control Arms

I was greasing up all the zerks under the ol' TJ yesterday and noticed every single zerk on my control arms are not taking grease. I will need to take them off to replace the zerks, lube them up, hopefully solving my squeaks underneath.

While off I want to paint them a bright red to match everything else underneath.

Anyone have recommendations of paint they use that is rugged and will take street debris?

Instructions on how to paint them would help as well.

Thank you!

Id say take em to get powdercoated.. But if that is off the table, you will want to give them a good sanding with some 180-220 grit paper. Then get some rattle can self ecthing primer and coat em with 2-3 good coats.. When it dries, give em another sanding with some 400 grit paper and scotchbrite where sandpaper doesnt reach.. Paint em red with your choice of paint and id recommend clearing em with por15 glisten pc two part clear.. That means theres the clear and a hardner.. That stuff is probably the toughest clear you will find that can be sprayed out of a gun..
