So I have a 2014 white Sahara unlimited, with a black hardtop on it. What are my best options to get a white hardtop? Paint it or trade it? Any info would help
A couple of things, are you sure that you want all that white? I know someone who insisted on getting a white hardtop when he bought a new JKU, but later regretted it because it was just too much white. He said that he wished he had gotten black because it added good contrast. Next, you can try to paint it, but the paint simply won't hold up over time. Maybe try Craigslist to see if you can buy a white one from someone, then sell your black one.
When it comes to painting it I guess I'm just afraid that the whites won't match, and I'm really struggling to find a white hardtop anywhere online. Thanks for the info!
Also don't forget that your hard top is textured, and the painted ones I believe are smooth. So If you want your hardtop smoothed, and painted it will add to the cost.
