Lower plastic cowl

Anyone know the purpose for the lower cowl under front bumper other than aerodynamics?

it helps with hood flutter as well. Along with carpet i think it one of the first things to get tossed.

If you remove it you can say your Jeep is modified for off-roading. Better approach angle. Its almost as good as a lift and lots cheaper.
