I need a paint code please

Hey everyone,
New here. Just bought my wife a 2007 commander and I needed the paint code number. Yes I know its on the drivers door, but some moron ripped the tag off. I do know that it is Pewter. Walmart has pewter, but I need the code to make sure. thanks

Why would they pull the tag? That sounds like a sketchy part. Did you have a carfax done when you got it?

Anyways.... Good luck finding a matching color

this is what i found out. The jeep was in a front end accident after 6months of ownership. 2007 bought in feb of 2008. Paper work claims light pewter metalic. However, research shows that that color was discontinued in 2004. How could they repaint a car with that color.

you can get good paint shops to mix you up the specific color of your vehicle by mixin different paints together, probably how they did it..

Yep, they can either mix it up, or found an old can. Just because it was discontinued doesn't mean it still doesn't exist.

Just look for the paint using the color code. It is on the inside of the driver's side door jamb. It should be listed by code, not name.

(By the way, Welcome to the forum. The translator can make it harder to understand some times).

You can always pull the fuel door off and take it to a paint jobber.
They can scan the door, which will give them the mixing formula.

They also have chip books that go by year and make which will give you the paint code.
