How to paint cragars?

Has anyone ever painted their cragars soft 8's? I want to paint the lip area of my cragars silver to look like the ions 171. How would I go about painting over the black paint?

What do you mean by lip area? But just scuff up
The black with sandpaper and clean them off real well before painting em primer and then paint. 2 cans of spray paint works
