Evercoat rage over bondo-glass

I am fairly new to this, so forgive me if this is a stupid question. But I plan to use bondo-glass on my welds and larger areas and then top coat with evercoat rage. Is there a problem with this? Anyone had any experience? Thanks in advance for the help.

By Bondo-glass do you mean fiberglass or the filler fiberglass mix? I like to use something like Evercoat's everglass over my welds, then just use normal filler over it. I am a Evercoat fan. Hope this helps.

Its does help. Thanks. This is what the add says about bondo-glass (Bondo-Glass is a unique reinforced filler containing short, interlocking fiberglass strands and fibers that make it twice as strong as regular body filler) The reason I ask is that I alread have a quart of this stuff. I do plan on using Evercoat Rage as my top coat. Any idea is this would work ok? Or should I get the Everglass to make sure they are compatible?

They will be fine together. I love evercoat stuff we use it all the time in the shop. The evercoat rage is a really great filler. Flows very nice and sands easy. We use their glaze as well as the final coat before primer and that stuff is just amazing.

We are talking about the same stuff. I have used the bondo stuff. It works, But is a B**ch to sand. I usually use a grinder with 80 grit to rough it out. You will love the rage, like above said: it sands great and lays smooth. You will be amazed how much sand paper you save too.

using rage filler you don't have to use glaze that is the benefit in buying the rage.

evercoat makes short strand fiber glasss like the bondo glass but better. its easier to work with, sands better, lasts longer and adheres better. there is a reason bondo brand is sold at Kmart! I use Rage gold every day and then cover coat it with evercoat glaze coat #100417 and it is the best process with the best products I have found yet.
