'Desert Sand Pearl' in a single stage paint?

The Cherokee is still in construction phase, but thinking ahead of paint. I'm 50/50 on a Monstaliner exterior or an inexpensive single stage paint.

Does anyone with knowledge/experience know if factory colors that are 2-stage (base and clear) can be made as a single stage paint? Specifically I'm interested in Desert Sand Pearl...

I don't know about professionally spraying a single stage but any pro paint shop should be able to put it in a spray can. You can paint with it as it is single stage in the can. I have painted approximately 99% of my Wrangler using it. In Desert Sand Pearl as well. Best thing to do is check with your local paint shop and see what they recommend depending on what you want to accomplish.

cool- pics!! What i would do is have it mixed as a gallon and spray it with a cheap HF gun. I have a large enough compressor.

This is the best pic I could find as I'm on my phone. I don't know if they can do it in a gallon. I used around 7-10 cans and it turned out great.

Can be done but unless you've had a gun in your hands for many years i wouldnt recommend it.

I've used the color/clear rattle cans and they turn out great. The desert sand is a cool color.

Its best done as a base coat / clear coat process. Its not harder than doing a one time process, just takes a little longer.
